“Inability” is a clue to building a better society
When disasters happen,
people gather in evacuation shelters.
However, in reality,
some people hesitate to go there.
Older adults.
People with disabilities.
Families with small children.
Pregnant women.
People with health concerns.
The reason is often very simple.
They worry that
they might cause trouble for others.
But we believe something different.
Inability is never an individual failing.
Instead, it is a signal that shows
where society still needs improvement.
A step that is too high.
A sign that is hard to read.
Information that is difficult to understand.
These are not personal problems.
They are design challenges in our society.
And there is another idea we value.
Evacuation shelters are not
perfectly completed places from the start.
They are places that we build together.
When someone says,
“This is difficult to use.”
“This could be improved.”
The shelter becomes better, step by step.
One person’s voice
can help the next person.
One small improvement
can change an entire community.
That is why we believe:

「できない」は、社会を良くするヒント
災害が起きたとき、
多くの人が避難所に集まります。
しかし現実には、
避難所に行くことをためらう人がいます。
高齢者
障がいのある人
小さな子どもがいる家族
妊婦
体調に不安がある人
理由はとてもシンプルです。
「迷惑をかけてしまうかもしれない」
そう思ってしまうからです。
でも、私たちはこう考えています。
「できない」は個人の問題ではありません。
それは
社会がまだ気づいていない課題を
教えてくれているサインです。
段差があること
看板が見えにくいこと
案内が分かりにくいこと
それは誰かの問題ではなく、
社会の設計の問題です。
そしてもう一つ、
私たちは大切にしている考えがあります。
避難所は
最初から完成している場所ではありません。
みんなで作っていく場所です。
誰かが
「ここが使いにくい」
「こうしたらいい」
そう声をあげることで、
避難所は少しずつ良くなっていきます。
一人の気づきが、
次の人を助けます。
一つの改善が、
地域全体を変えます。
だから私たちは信じています。
みんなの意見が、社会をやさしくする。
ハッピーライドはこれからも、
「できない」という声を大切にしながら、
誰もが安心して避難できる社会を
